Hellboy II: The Golden Army

Welcome to another fine episode of Cinemavino! This week continues our summer series, looking at overlooked blockbuster sequels. Hellboy II: The Golden Army is a great movie, let alone sequel. Guillermo Del Toro knocks it out of the park with imaginative writing, spot-on casting, and special effects that haven't aged a day in thirteen years. As always, spoilers abound, so proceed with caution.

To pair with Hellboy's big sequel, we chose Tait's Ball Buster Shiraz, a big, brawny red from Australia. It's a sturdy red with a touch of heat on the finish, so it seemed apropos to match our favorite demon-hero. If you want to learn a little more about this great wine, click here.
