1917 hits like a ton of bricks. It’s a huge achievement and a hell of movie. I’ll go ahead and predict it for a Best Picture win at the Oscars. We’ve scanned the movie schedule for 2020, and it truly looks like the best of times and the blurst of times. Lots of sequels, prequels, remakes, rehashes, reboots, and screwups. Still, look carefully and you’ll find some good with the bad and ugly. For this episode of Cinemavino, we discuss the upcoming movie schedule. We’re really excited for some of it. New Cinemavino is live! This week, The Mandalorian delivered what many are calling a “filler episode.” As the midpoint episode, it really didn’t do a whole lot to move the plot forward. As a Space Western, The Mandalorian gets stronger as it goes along. The action scenes are killer, and it has attitude and atmosphere to spare. This feels like the breath of fresh air Star Wars has needed for a good long while. I’ve had some kind of seasonal crud for the past week. That means antibiotics, which also means no booze.
